Welcome to the Biotech Outsourcing Strategies 2011 the leading outsourcing focused partnering event for biotech and pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing. In a new development for 2011 Bio2Business is pleased to combine our established non-clinical event with our growing clinical event to create BOS 2011 featuring non-clinical and clinical tracks: This evolution, led by delegate feedback, will create a stronger partnering forum, covering a wider breath of R&D outsourcing disciplines bridging non-clinical and clinical operations and R&D teams.

Who should attend BOS 2011?

BOS Events were established in 2006 to provide an outsourcing focused discussion forum and partnering meeting for biotech, pharma and the contract services community. The progamme content and structure of the event is particularly aimed at virtual biotech and semi-virtual biotech who depend on strong, successful outsourcing relationships from target validation through lead optimisation, early scale up and into the clinic. BOS 2011 is relevant to R&D professionals with an outsourcing role in discovery, CMC and clinical operations.

BOS Event Formula

1 day only in duration BOS 2011 will consist of 3 core elements including: Presentations delivered by leading industry professionals and focused on outsourcing: Partnering, 1 to 1 meetings running in parallel to the programme and facilitated by use of partnering software made available to all attendees (participation in partnering meetings is optional and completely at the delegates discretion): Networking, our schedule for the day has evolved over the last 5 years to include ample time for informal networking with a Partnering breakfast from 8 to 9.30, an extended lunch period from 12.30 to 2pm and our popular wrap up drinks reception from 5pm onwards! So plenty of time to network and partner formally and informally

BOS 2011 non-clinical track

Our non-clinical track for 2011 will cover discovery and early development. Presentations will cover discovery biology, lead optimisation, medicinal chemistry, drug substance early scale up, drug product formulation strategies and approaches to toxicology at the discovery/early development interface. The programme will largely focus on NCE (New Chemical Entity) CMC challenges.

BOS 2011 clinical track

The planned programme for our clinical track has been developed to address key issues in biotech clinical outsourcing and will cover topics including; outsourcing strategies for clinical development, one stop shop CRO v's discreet CRO providers, preferred supplier outsourcing relationships, outsourcing in developing economies, CRO selection and relationship management strategies, utilising technologies to enable efficiencies in site monitoring, ensuring maximum CRO attention for your project from a biotech perspective.

Shared Plenary Session to Close the Programme 4-5pm

Our final session of the day between 4pm and 5pm will see both tracks come together for a plenary session to explore case studies in outsourcing. Following projects from discovery to POC in humans we will be asking biotech, pharma and CRO participants to share perspective and approaches on accelerating timelines to POC through outsourcing collaboration.
